Users of products that are incorrectly using these APIs will notice This is an unfortunate consequence of a decision by Google to restrict access to the sync API to Chrome only (which explains why in comment #3 you're seeing that chrome 89 on linux works fine).Īnd the quote by the Ubuntu Developer from the Chromium upstream site data: This is stated perfectly in the comment you linked to in that 'bug' (all 'bold' emphasis is mine): Their announcement on that change even said March was the date that this would get yanked, and March 15 would get actual login failure cases. Google made the decision that their profile sync APIs are going to be restricted to Google Chrome only, and it's a decision by Google, not by Chromium or users of Chromium, that we can't alter. You will need to use the actual Google Chrome browser if you still want profile sync to work. Or home - I'll see this again, despite the fact that I've already clicked "Don't show this again" hundreds of times over the past year or so.There's literally nothing that can be done by users or anyone other than Google to change this. At some point today though - whether at work But I will say it's not 100%, so it's an inconsistent bug from my experience. What I'll do is logout of my accounts after I post this message, and I imagine when I sign back in, I'll see this message popup again. That's not the same as this issue I'm reporting. The few discussion groups I saw were people talking about staying signed in not keeping them signed in. I don't have time to scour every single discussion in this forum to see if others have complained about this. I don't use IE all that much, but I know this is recurring in Firefox and Chrome on W10 and W7.

If you want me to perform QA for you, I will track this issue in a spreadsheet with dates, browser used, operating systems,Īnd whatever other information you feel you need. I don't believe it has worked since the day it was implemented (released to production). I do not believe this issue has regressed. I login to my personal 365 account from work.

I don't want my credentials stored, and I don't want to be remembered.

I have never clicked Yes to stay signed in. I click No, and I also click "Don't show this again" every single time. I imagine everyone clicks Yes to stay signed in. This feature is built into Office 365 for business and home I see this on my work account and my home account. My issue is that I don't want to see this again and I constantly see this message re-appear. My issue is not the ability to stay signed in.
